How this CGPA calculator works
Use the weighted formula when credits are available. Use the simple average only as a quick estimate. What to check before you submit
Most transcripts calculate cumulative CGPA as a credit-weighted average. The calculator multiplies each semester SGPA by its credits, adds those weighted points, and divides by the total credits.
If your transcript does not publish semester credits, the calculator can still average SGPA values. Treat that result as a planning number unless your school confirms that every semester carries the same weight.
After calculating CGPA, use the percentage tool only when the receiving form asks for percentage. Keep the formula visible so the number is explainable.
